The new jobs were recently listed on Indeed, Zip Recruiter, and CareerBuilder for many search engine optimization tasks. Many job descriptions that were listed there need to be updated. The other interesting observation is that search engine optimization is included in many job descriptions. Adding search engine optimization as part of a job description looks almost like an afterthought. Search engine optimization is something that the average person doesn't know about.

Most companies will claim they have a search engine optimization department, in-house direct response copywriters, and additional resources. In reality these same companies do not have any of these people in place and have a few admin assistants who, at best, will dabble with SEO and other high-end marketing responsibilities.

As a search engine professional who worked in the industry for over 20 years, this sticks out like a sore thumb. Therefore, I will not join any company full-time, go through a payroll department, and stay on contract only strictly. I have been duped often, intentionally or unintentionally, and it has hindered progress on both ends. It is best to be upfront and honest and then devise a plan.... TO WIN. The percentage of times I have been misguided is about 87%. Now, with the new advancements of new marketing tools, the stakes have never been more critical.

The search engine world is constantly changing, and there are always updates; many books that are out now need to be updated. Right now, web traffic changes rapidly thanks to clickfunnels and AI technology innovation.

Where Do You Stand In The Search Engines?

I see a lot of companies making outrageous claims. Some even say they have a million links. Other companies will claim they are super big in the business world. There's a natural, easy way to check these statements and even check on the validity of your competitors. My company gives away this service for free so we can all see where we're at.

There's a simple tool available called Firefox. This browser allows you to type in a simple formula and determine how many links you have to your company website. When you type in the recipe... Links "www.yoursite.com" You will see a little sentence below the search bar that'll tell you how many links you have on the search engines.

So when a company tells me they are in the millions and creating billions of dollars of revenue and only have four links, I know something is off. Not only is something off, but their projections of how big they need to be in line. Red flags go up, and they must tell me what's happening with their company. I can either run in the other direction or try to help them.... those are my two choices.

Just like me, you can decide whether or not you want to do business with a company that is making false claims or if you want to ignore it altogether. My name, for example, holds 1,700+ links, and then the numbers increase depending on what business we are looking into.

Most companies need to learn where they stand on the search engines or know something about link counts. The more links you have for your company, the better off you are.
